When a panel fails, it does not leave the city.
The standard answer in this trade is that a dead touch panel gets couriered back to the manufacturer, and you live with a blank board on your wall for weeks while it travels. We run our own service bench here in Jaipur. Most faults are diagnosed and turned around in days, and a repair costs a fraction of what a replacement panel does.
It is also the reason we are comfortable recommending touch panels in the first place. We can stand behind one after the sale, not just up to it.
Tell us what it is doing
A message describing the fault, and a photo or short video of the panel if it is doing something visible. Most faults we can narrow down before anybody travels.
We collect or you drop it
If it is a Wavify install we come and take it off the wall, and leave the circuit safe and working manually while it is away. If you bought elsewhere, you can bring it to us.
Diagnosis, then a price
We tell you what is wrong and what it costs to fix before we fix it. If it is not economically repairable we will say so rather than charge you to find out slowly.
Why we do this at all
Running a bench is not the obvious commercial choice. It is easier to sell a replacement panel than to repair one, and the margin is better.
We do it because the alternative makes us dishonest. If we recommend a touch panel knowing that a failure means weeks of a dead board and the price of a new unit, then the recommendation was never really sound. Being able to fix it ourselves is what makes it sound.
It has a second effect we did not expect, which is that we now see every fault our customers have. That is where what actually fails, and when comes from. No national brand can write that page, because their failures go back to a factory and they never learn anything from them.
Most people are not
